Track 1 - The Devil Drives a Hot Rod

Lyrics:

On a lonely Texas Highway with the Devil Chasing me...
I was running without headlights so the Devil couldn't see.
I was running low on gas, I was running low on time...
And the Devil was closing fast on my run down '39...

Well I left my home in Memphis, I left my job and wife.
I left everything I knew and loved... trying to save my life.
I might be a sinner... I know I'm not a saint!
and the fires of hell were calling, but I was looking for the pearly gates...

Fifty miles from nowhere... a thousand miles to go
Running' from the Devil... trying' to save my soul...

Now it was half past dawn... I was running low on gas.
I saw the Devil in the rear-view and she was closing fast!
Then I heard my engine sputter... steam came from the hood.
I pulled to a stop at the side of the road 'cause I knew it was no good...

So I turned to face the Devil as she pulled next to me.
She had a '39 just like mine, but her's was sharp and clean.
She opened up the door... She told me to get in.
The dashboard was all chrome and the seats were leopard skin!

Well, I tried real hard to argue, but her will was way to strong...
and those leopard seats were callin' and she played my favorite song.
Then the Devil told me something... Something that sealed my fate...
She said God drives a Desoto... with two tone turquoise paint.... OH NO!!!!!!!!!
